A New Fund with Kent Community Foundation has just come on line:
Fidelity UK Foundation Kent Community Development Fund
This Fund supports projects which help the young and/or the disadvantaged achieve their potential. Must be a registered charity that has been in existence for at least 3 years. Geographic area: Kent & Medway. Grants of £5,000 to £20,000.

Grant Funding Opportunities
KCC Families and Social Care are inviting expressions of interest for the provision of the following services for two years from the 1st April 2012:
- Dementia Peer Support Groups
- Dementia Cafes
- Dementia Buddy Service at Darent Valley Hospital Care Navigator Service
Please note these are grant funding opportunities.
Adverts will be placed on the South East Business Portal at https://www.businessportal.southeastiep.gov.uk this week; providers will have two weeks to express their interest.
Kent Community Foundation www.kentcf.org.uk is joining forces with The Funding Network www.thefundingnetwork.org.uk to hold a ‘Giving Circle’ in West Kent on Thursday March 15th 2012 in the evening. It will be an event where shortlisted local VCOs will present their work in 6 minutes to an audience of donors. A further 6 minutes of questions to the presenters are allowed by the donors, who will then engage in friendly philanthropy – a bit like Dragon’s Den, only more sociable!
If you would like to be considered for presenting at the event, with the aim of raising funds for a community project in Kent and Medway, which supports vulnerable and disadvantaged people reach their potential, please read the attached 120315 KCF Guidance for Applicants and 120315 KCF Guidance for Sponsors and complete the 120315 Project Application Kent. Please note, that in line with The Funding Network’s rules, a Personal Sponsor must be prepared to pledge at least £150 to their project if it is selected for presentation at the event. Further details are in the guidelines.
