Welcome
CaDVAS was formed by Canterbury and Herne Bay Volunteer Centre and Whitstable Volunteer Centre and is funded by Kent County Council, Canterbury City Council and the Eastern and Coastal Kent Primary Care Trust to provide infrastructure services to Voluntary and Community Organisations (VCOs) across the whole of the Canterbury District.
These services include:
- Provision of training
- Newsletters
- Directory of local VCOs
- Guidance about setting up and funding of charities
- Information about funding and fundraising
- Guidance on recruiting and retaining volunteers
- Representation and promotion of the VCO sector
CaDVAS is starting small in terms of personnel and resources but aims to build up progressively, with the lead coming from the local VCO sector We actively encourage your ideas, news and feedback.
